Another glorious week in paradise! Sun, snow and great company - what more could one ask for!
We are hearing some fabulous reports from up the mountains as the guests come down each night. The snow is in great condition and the weather has mostly been kind to everyone. I have still not been up but fingers crossed for this weekend!
Local produce is featuring a lot in the news at the moment.
- Boutique brewery Wanaka Beerworks will represent the region at New Zealand's biggest craft beer festival - Beervana - in Wellington next month. We wish them all the best and am sure they will have a fantastic time!
- And as part of Wanakafest later in the year organisers have announced they will be holding a local brewing competition. The winner will have their beer brewed by Wanaka Beerworks and it will feature as next years Willowridge Wanakafest Special Festival Beer. Not sure if it would be a good job or not to be on that tasting panel!
- And a group of international Sommeliers are arriving in Central Otago this week to experience some of our vineyards. We are now regarded as one of the premium pinot noir producing regions outside of Burgundy. No wonder I like it so much!
Just a few more things to add to your to do list next time you visit - sample our local beer and visit the brewery, and pick up a couple of bottles of your favourite local drop to take home to family and friends. That is after you have toured the wineries and sampled them all.
Well enjoy the rest of your week wherever you may be.
Kylie, Mandy, Wayne and the Te Wanaka Team.
