School holidays, day care closed, what more can I say. At least the weather has been very kind to us so we can spend lots of time at the dinosaur park and generally getting out and about for bike rides etc.
And as usual at this time of year town has been very busy as visitors come to holiday in our little piece of paradise! I even saw some brave souls out water skiing over the weekend - hope they had good wetsuits cause that windchill would of been mighty cold!!
Many people were once again out to support the local Anzac Day services around the community. About 200 people attended the dawn service at Hawea, and another 500 or so were at the Wanaka service. It is always so nice to see everyone from young to old come together in rememberance.
And another reason to get together and celebrate with friends will be the royal wedding tomorrow. What have you got planned for the day? I am off to a wedding in Gore - our friends weren't too worried when they made their date the same day as they were sure there wouldn't be too many clashes on the guest list!
Well thats it for the week - enjoy your weekend!
